The lights can be used in two different modes: automatic and manual. In automatic mode, the lights will use AI technology to manage themselves. To open the front light, users can use the Halo App or simply whip the digital mirror to switch to manual light mode. Whipping the digital mirror a second time will switch it back to automatic light mode, and the light will shut off (since you’ll be outside of the oral cavity).

The digital mirror can be sterilized in a cassette autoclave. More information on the sterilization method will come shortly.

There are 3 ways to start and stop video streaming.
- Double tap on the digital mirror.
- Tap on the play button in the app.
- Use the voice command “start streaming” or “stop streaming.”
There are 3 ways to capture a photo.
- Tap on the digital mirror.
- Tap on the image when streaming in the app.
- Use the voice command “snap” followed by the name of soft tissue or a tooth number.
You can switch from automatic to manual light mode by whipping the digital mirror or switching the mode through the app.
The active fogging prevention system is always on.
Yes, commands such as photo capture, streaming and photo tagging can be done by voice commands.
There is no microphone in the digital mirror. The voice commands are interpreted through the tablet and the Halo App.
The Halo Digital Mirror is a Class I, FDA-registered medical device. The device will be available for purchase in the US in early 2025.
The device has currently not undergone regulatory approvals in Canada. However, this is planned for late 2024, and the device will be placed on the market in early 2025.
The digital mirror can be connected to any device that can create a hotspot.
Using the Halo App allows you to benefit from streaming, photo capture and maintaining patient files. If you do not use the Halo App, you can still utilize the lighting and active fogging prevention system.
We recommend each room have its own digital mirror. If you have the Halo App installed in multiple rooms, you can use the digital mirrors interchangeably.
Yes, the digital mirror will be available in multiple colours. Those colours will be available in late 2024.
